South African Police Service SAPS Learnership Requirements

All participating candidates have to be between the ages of eighteen and thirty-five. All candidates have to make sure they add all the information that they think will be important, contact details, and also a detailed curriculum vita. All candidates have to include all their certified copies of all their certificates; this includes proof of address not older that 3 months, and proof of identity. Candidates have to be South African citizens to apply.

Candidates will be required to complete some of the things mentioned:

  • Candidates must have leadership skills
  • Candidates must have great liaison skills
  • Candidates have to be capable of working individually or as a team
  • Candidates must have a valid Code B Driver’s license
  • Candidates have to be able to use a computer
  • Candidates must have NO criminal records
  • Candidates have to be able to both speak and write in English
  • Candidates must be physically and mentally fit
  • Candidates must have a Metric or Grade 12 Certificate

All candidates are required to take an Oath as decided by the municipality as soon as the learnership has been concluded.

The Ekurhuleni Metro Police also have a few requirements before you can apply for one of their learnerships:

  • Candidates must be physically and mentally fit
  • Candidates must have a Metric or Grade 12 Certificate
  • Candidates must not have any previous work practice
  • Candidates have to be able to use a computer, this depends on the field they take
  • Candidates must have NO criminal records, a fingerprint check will be carried out
  • Candidates have to be able to both speak and write in English
  • Candidates must have a valid ID documentation
  • Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 35 years of age
  • Candidates must be a South African citizen
  • All candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply for one of their learnerships.

South African Police Service SAPS Learnership Application

All candidates that are interested in applying have to apply in their home province. A lot of the South African Police Service Learnerships will only be available for eighteen months, this includes a monthly salary.

All candidates that want to apply for one of their learnerships first have to download the learnership form. Their learnership has a lot of information you are required to read, comply, agree, and understand. You can find their learnership application at any Metro Police office within South Africa. All application forms that are faxed, emailed, or late will not be valid.

South African Police Service SAPS Learnership Closing Date

The SAPS Learnerships do not have a specific closing or opening date, thus, they can vary. The opening and closing dates will depend on the different Police departments.
