Physiotherapy Bursaries in South Africa
Physical Therapy is known as physiotherapy. Physiotherapy bursaries will teach you how to treat impairments or about recuperation after any loss or reduction of movement through any part of the body. Physiotherapy promotes mobility, as well as functionality. Studying for Physiotherapy may include prognosis, examination procedure, treatment and diagnosis through physical treatment.

Bursaries for Physiotherapy available
Department of Health Bursary: Limpopo, Kwazulu Natal, Western Cape
Students from each province are given the opportunity to apply for one of the Department of Health’s bursaries to financially help them with their studies. The company is looking for candidates in each province that has scarce and critical skills that the company needs. All the skills that are needed will be available for study. The Department of Health online bursary applications isn’t available for any of the departments at the moment.
If you are looking for information or bursary forms, you can get it from your municipality, local hospitals and your Department of Health. As soon as you have completed the application you can either give it to the institute where you got the forms from or you can give it to your local Health Department. When handing in your application, make sure you have all needed documentation. For any or more information you can contact any Department of Health to find out about their bursaries.
Kwa Zulu Natal
Any and everyone can apply for a KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health bursary form. You can attain a KwaZulu-Natal Health Department bursary application from any of your nearby Government Hospitals. You can also find this form from your nearest Human Resource Division. While you are staying at University, do not give the form to your closest Government Hospital, you must return the application form to the hospital you collected it from.
When returning the form to the Hospital it has to be fully completed with all required documentation. You must collect the form and while collecting it, you or one of your family members must sign to collect the application form. At all the Provincial Hospitals a poster of the Kwa Zulu Natal Health Department will be located on their advertising boards for bursary programs. This poster will also be placed at Municipal, Clinics and Internet offices.
The poster will visibly display all the study fields, as well as scarce skills that are vital. If you are interested, please apply if you want to study for a diploma or degree. You can only apply in the field offered in the district the poster is advertising. You cannot apply if your chosen field of study does not reflect on the poster.
Every year, a limited amount of full-time study bursaries is offered by the Western Cape Department of Health in fields that are needed by the department. The department’s goals for their bursaries are to attract people that qualify and that require skills, knowledge, and competencies to join the department. This is so that they can meet the department’s service delivery requests.
The next bursaries for every health science fields in 2016 academic year were awarded:
- Medical (MBChB).
- Emergency medical care.
Please note that every year more health study field will be removed or added based on the Department service delivery requirements.
How to apply?
- You can apply at any HEI for your needed qualifications.
- You can collect a bursary application form from any HEI financial aid office.
- Make sure you have completed the entire application form.
- Make sure you also have all needed documentation attached to the form when you have completed it.
- You can then hand-deliver the form when you have finished it with all the documentation back to the financial aid office.
