Department of Health Bursaries

All students from each province get the opportunity to apply for a Department of Health bursary that is in need of financial assistance. You or one of your family members have to sign your application forms when you collect it. You have to give the application form back to the institute you got it from when you have fully completed it.

Every year only a limited amount of Western Cape Department of Health bursaries are given for full-time study in the fields where the province has found a shortage of skill. The Western Cape Bursaries were created to find qualified candidates that have skills, knowledge, and competencies to join the Department of Health to help the service delivery needs.

If you are applying for one of the Western Cape Department of Health bursaries at a university outside the province, you must send it directly to the Western Cape Government: Health.

Momentum Fund Bursary Program

The Momentum Fund Bursary program was created to help address the need for talented candidates that is trained in helping disabled, vulnerable or orphaned children. The Momentum Fund Bursary program gives postgraduate bursaries to candidates that study in the field of disability, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and social work. Grants are given to students that are disabled in any field of postgraduate study.
